Transparency

Published under Art. 24(2) of the Digital Services Act

The DSA asks online platforms to publish, at least once every six months, the average monthly number of active recipients of the service in the European Union. Here is ours, together with how it was counted.

How we count

A person counts as active in a month if they left a trace of using LikedByFriends in it: swiping on a product, placing an order, voting on a friend’s question, writing a review, or creating their account. Someone who does several of those in the same month is counted once. The figure covers accounts in the 27 EU Member States, and averages the six most recently completed calendar months.

What this number leaves out

Two things, both of which make it lower rather than higher, and we would rather say so than round them away:

We would rather publish a number we can explain than one we cannot.

Other transparency obligations

When we restrict a listing or an account, the person affected gets a statement of reasons and can appeal it free of charge. GTD Fast OÜ is a small enterprise, so under Article 19 of the Digital Services Act we do not submit these statements to the European Commission’s DSA Transparency Database. We keep every statement, so we can start the day that changes. Our point of contact for authorities and for users is dsa@likedbyfriends.com.
